Disappeared while riding her bike home along Nicola Lake BC in May 1978.
Police had a suspect in Monica's murder-which was similar to 2 other cold case murders,and combined with the suspects criminal record-which included multiple rape convictins-left police thinking they had the right guy,but were unable to prove anything
The suspect,is in his 50s,was left to walk free and was last reported to be living in Ontario
Through computer program Minca's case has been added to the highway of tears cases.
